I graduated first in my law school class (out of 123) at the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 1992, and have been practicing law continuously ever since. In 1993-94, I served as Law Clerk to the Honorable Nathaniel R. Jones, U.S. Court of Appeals, Sixth Circuit. From 1994 to 2003, I worked for the downtown Cincinnati law firm of Strauss & Troy, LPA, first as an associate attorney, and then as a partner. I opened my own practice in 2004, which I continue to operate.
Since 2001, I have served as adjunct professor at the University of Cincinnati College of Law, teaching Legal Drafting to third year law students. I also serve as Ohio local counsel for the following national law firms:
AmeriTrust Law Group, based in Washington D.C.; and Granite Law California, LLP, operating out of Irvine, California.
In my previous life before becoming a lawyer, I was a restaurant manager, I owned and operated a singing telegram company, I repaired sewing machines, I ran a children's repertory theater group, and I performed as a profesional musician. (I still perform music evenings and weekends.)
I am admitted to practice in the State of Ohio, the U.S. District Courts in both the Southern District and Northern District of Ohio, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for both the Sixth Circuit and the Second Circuit.
My firm handles legal matters in the following practice areas: Commercial Litigation, Contract Law, Consumer Law, Small Business Law, Employment Law, Civil Rights, and General Practice.
